And Yet Another Russian Invention....
Marshmallow peeps! Yes!
The heroin-containing (this is obvious by their highly addictive qualities) Easter
favorite were invented by a Russian immigrant to America in 1952. Just Born, the
company that makes them, was founded by Sam Born, who grew up in Russia and came
to America in 1910. He started his business with a small candy shop in New York City.
The company's headquarters has been in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, since 1932.
Peep trivia: it used to take 27 hours by hand to make ONE peep! For top secret

New Chekov Figure Coming in June!
There are new Star Trek figures being released in June 2007. Follow the link above
to check out the new Chekov! (Link no longer works :-(  )

"The Official Put Chekov in Space Seed Campaign"
This campaign was recently suggested on the internet--asking for CBS to digitally
insert our favorite Ensign into the original episode in order to solve the continuity
problem with Khan recognizing him in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan."

This lofty campaign has inspired us to suggest a storm of equally important campaigns:

                             "The Official Put..."

"Spock in the Original Star Wars"
(now there's a man desperately in
      need of a light sabre)

"Chekov and Sulu in Star Trek XI" (they are cousins, don't you know,
and keep sneaking onto the Academy grounds to play baseball.)

"Uhura as a Contestant on American Idol" (hey, if Sulu is Japanese
American, she must be African American, Reilly Irish American, Chekov...
      see above reference)

"Scotty in Back to the Future" (who did you think invented the flux
      capacitor?)

"McCoy in Gone With the Wind" (I'm a Doctor, dammit, not a fireman!)

"Kirk in the Grapes of Wrath" (Prime Directive my ass)

Speaking of The Wrath of Khan:
Why, one has to wonder, did Chekov--who had been to the Ceti Alpha system
previously-- not remember that they had left Khan there? Why did he not even notice
that there was a planet missing? Has he lost the ability to count?
1-2-3-4-5-6---uh---wait... 5.... Wasn't the new asteroid belt even a clue? The entire
crisis, and the death of Spock, could have been avoided if Chekov had any kind of
memory capabilities. Please visit with us at:

Which brings us to "Star Trek: The Final Frontier"
Why did the former Security Chief not know that firing a phaser sets off the alarms
on a starship?? Please visit with us at:

they really didn't want yet another reality tv show. Maybe this is a good sign....

20 Things That Will Never Happen in Star Trek:
(adapted from material of author unknown)
1.        The Enterprise runs into a mysterious energy field of a type that it has
              encountered several times before.
2.       The Enterprise stops to check on a remote outpost and finds everyone
              there is perfectly alright.
3.       The crew discovers a totally new life form, which later turns out to be a
well-known life form for which complete information is buried in a
little used partition in the computer banks.
4.        The crew of the Enterprise is struck by a rare plague for which the only
cure is found in the ship's well-stocked sickbay.
5.        The Captain has to make a difficult decision about a less-advanced
civilization which is made a great deal easier by the Prime Directive.
6.        No matter what happens, all the systems work 100% of the time.
7.        The Enterprise successfully ferries a VIP from one place to another
              without any serious incidents.
8.         A being composed of energy attempts to interface with the ship's
computer but finds the ship's firewalls impenetrable.
9.        A power surge on the ship is rapidly identified and corrected by the
              highly trained ship's personnel.
10.        The Enterprise is confronted by a vastly superior alien intelligence which
is seeking out new life and new civilizations for peaceful contact.
11.        The Enterprise is captured by a vastly superior, yet juvenile, alien
intelligence which is easily pacified by offering it sweets and toys.
12.        The crew visits a Class-M planet which appears to be a paradise and
finds that every thing is exactly as it appears.
13.         A major Starfleet emergency breaks out but there are plenty of other
ships in the area that are able to deal with it.
14.        The ship is involved in a time-warp incident which is not in any way
connected to the twentieth century United States.
15.        Kirk falls in love with a woman on a planet he visits and is not tragically
separated from her before he leaves.
16.        Ensign Chekov does not state the blindingly obvious, but an observation
which immediately leads to a quick conclusion of the current crisis.
17.        The warp engines start acting up but are fixed immediately, without
endangering the crew, by the ship's expert Chief Engineer.
18.        Starfleet Command feels no need to interfere with the Enterprise's
              current mission.
19.        Starfleet Command realizes that Kirk is an intelligent, resourceful
officer and bows to his judgement on how to handle an unexpected,
               and dimplomatically tense, situation.
20.        Spock is demoted from his position of First Officer--the ship's
personnel officer-- for not being able to understand the basic
nuances of about 1 in 3 things that are said to him.
